Does it read DMs?
No. Kodama works inside Discord servers where it has been added and only reads the channels it can access.
What happens when I /optout?
Your indexed messages are hard-deleted from Kodama memory and your future messages are excluded from indexing.
Can mods control what Kodama says?
Yes. Mod-only settings control personality, recap delivery, flame mode, and guardrails around server behavior.
